Myths, mysteries and marvels of the ageing mind

What beliefs do you hold about our brains as we age? Do you, like many, think that there’s not much we can do about getting dementia? Do you worry that your parents are showing signs of it? Perhaps you believe it’s in our genes and that’s that. Or maybe you think that old people are too old to learn.

On the other hand, how mysterious is it that on a physical level someone can appear to be a lost cause – to have all the signs of someone who cannot function fully, yet through attitude and ability lives a life that is full. And how marvellous is it despite loss of brain cells due to ageing other parts of our brain make up for that loss!

With the ageing population rising, we need to become aware what increasing age brings to our families, our communities and implications for care. Understanding the myths, mysteries and marvels of the ageing brain can help prepare us and start to bring about change.

For those who want to be a Certified Ageless Grace® Educator and be able to teach group classes or private one-on-ones with clients and students this is for you.

The first four hours provides a great start, allowing you to have a relaxed, energetic overview before going into the detail you need as an Educator. The following 9.5 hours goes into depth about the primary and secondary benefits of each tool, music suggestions for practice and use with clients, safety and precautions, PR and marketing skills, basic anatomy, organising a class format, and ideas on how to teach these spontaneous in-the-moment tools that are sparked by imagination and creativity, memory and recall, kinesthetic learning, analytical thinking and strategic planning. Students are given an opportunity to develop their own creative ideas in taking the class with a group.

The importance of simple, playful movement in daily living

Ageless Grace® 3-DVD Set

Each of the three DVDS features 7 of the 21 Simple Tools for Lifelong Comfort and Ease® and are playfully and light-heartedly illustrated to upbeat music. The tools are led as if you are personally taking a class with Creator and Founder, Denise Medved, while she explains what you are doing and gives you ideas for practicing each tool creatively and differently each time you do the simple exercises.You can click on any one of the tools individually, making it easy and simple to navigate from one tool to another, in any order you feel like practicing them, for only 10 minutes per day.Volume 1- Tools 1-7, Volume 2 – Tools 8-14, Volume 3 – Tools 15-21. Each tool plays for approximately 3-5 minutes . Each DVD is approximately 25-35 minutes in length.

The DVDs are excellent to find out how to do the tools on your own. Watch them a few times then put them away for a couple of weeks. Come back to them later and get more out of Denise’s classes.
